\nAt 3:45 am, I’m
\nwaiting for the morning to come
\nwaiting for the night to end
\nwaiting for my heart to mend.
\nIt all makes sense;
\nthe things I’m drawn to
\nthe people I wanna answer back to
\nthe searches on internet I wanna go through.<\/p>\n
I read about writers.
\nI read what they went through.
\nI read they all weren’t accepted the way they were supposed to.
\nWhy does it feel familiar?
\nFrom where did
\nPlath, Woolf, Bronte, Bukowski
\nfind words to let them swallow whole
\nor to swallow us whole?
\nWhere did they hide themselves?
\nthat they outshone everyone.<\/p>\n
These are the places I go to
\nin isolation.
\nThese are the people I re-visit
\nin isolation.
\nMy heart aches from the hurt
\nand eagerly wants to find shelter from that pain.
\nWords make sense sometimes,
\nand sometimes they don’t.
\nMy fingers itch to write more
\nbut can never catch up with my mind
\nOr the heart
\nNot sure where are these words and thoughts coming from?<\/p>\n
In isolation, I see my real self
\nUnprepared, unveiled, angry
\nbecause my own heart betrayed the rules and is aching more than it was supposed to.
\nIt exposes a layer of vulnerability
\nto be cut through and dig out
\nthe trash to be thrown away.<\/p>\n
My heart wants to sing melodies of well-being
\nMy heart wants to dance on the tunes of contentment and bliss.
\nMy heart wants to drink and trip over to the seventh heaven.
\nMy heart isn’t sure if it needs any ‘him’ or ‘her’ but
\nIt, so ,freakishly, wants to be mended.
\nAt times, my heart gets so tired of the hurt.
\nThat even the excruciating pain isn’t able to make it suffer anymore.<\/p>\n
